RUN A TRIBE ENTREPRENEURS MASTERMIND

null

At Tribe Entrepreneurs we want gathering in small local groups to be as easy as possible. With this in mind, we’ve created a guide on how to run a successful Tribe Entrepreneurs Mastermind. This guide will be updated as we grow and find better ways to make your group a success, so please feel free to suggest improvements and check back periodically to see the latest suggestions on how to grow your group!

Setting up a local mastermind could be one of the most fulfilling things you do this year! Bear in mind it’s going to take some time and commitment from you to do, but with our help, you can do it!

STARTING YOUR MASTERMIND

null
  1. Decide!
The first thing you need to do is decide to start a Tribe Entrepreneurs Mastermind. This may seem a little obvious, but once you have made this decision it’s time to take action!
  2. Register
Registering your Tribe Entrepreneurs Mastermind is essential to ensure you receive the training, support, and marketing you will need to make your local group a success. Tribe Entrepreneurs is all about the community, so don’t do this alone, we’re here to help! It’s quick, easy and free to register.
  3. Get some help!
You could do this yourself, but that kind of defeats the point. Find at least one person who wants to help you build an outstanding mastermind in your community and do it together. Don’t have anyone, don’t worry let us know and we’ll do our best to help you!
  4. Pick a day and time
Now that you’re registered when will you run your Tribe Entrepreneurs Mastermind? Every first Tuesday of the month at 7pm? Every second Wednesday at 1pm, the last Sunday afternoon of the month at 4pm? The time and day are important, but more important is the consistency. Pick a time and date you can commit to! Keep in mind when people are likely to want to meet too, and also when you could get a good venue for free!
  5. Pick a Location
Where will your mastermind meet? In a hotel, an office, a co-working space, a business centre? You can run your Tribe Entrepreneurs Mastermind wherever you want as long as you have easy access and permission to be there. These events can get very popular, very quickly, so we’d recommend finding a venue where you can meet, network, and discuss easily and where you don’t interrupt someone’s business. It’s completely possible to find free space at this stage, often bar, hotels, co-working spaces, and the like will be more than happy to have new people using their facilities and spending money on food and drinks or seeing new co-working space. Look for genuine win-wins for your venues and attendees. Don’t burden another small business by taking over their coffee shop without their explicit permission.
  6. Invite People
Congratulations! You’ve decided to run a Tribe Entrepreneurs Mastermind, you’ve registered, picked a location, and you have committed to a regular time and day. Now you just need like minded people to join you. This is where we come in:

    1. Email
The best place to start is with who you already know. Send them an email explaining what you’re doing and ask them to come and spread the word. Not sure what to write, here’s an example you can use!
    2. Facebook
Use the Tribe Entrepreneurs Facebook Page to promote your event. Let us know when your event is and where it is and we’ll get it up on the page straight away.
    3. Meetup
Meetup is built specifically for this type of event! When you let us know when your event is we’ll create a meetup event for you and invite people in your area to come along. You’ll be amazed at how effectibve this is.
    4. LinkedIn
Similar to Facebook, you can use Tribe Entrepreneurs Page to promote your event. Let us know when your event is and where it is and we’ll get it up on the page straight away.
    5. Tribe Entrepreneurs Website
When we register your event we’ll add it to all our social channels and our own website. As we grow we will also promote your event to subscribers in your local area.
    6. Advertising
Paid advertising is a valid way to market your Mastermind. We’d recommend you don’t do this initially unless you know what you’re doing. Once you’re up and running we may be able to support you with location and interest specific advertising and funnels.

Please note you are not authorised to create your own website, social media profiles, or meetup groups for your events using the Tribe Entrepreneurs brand. We want to make your life as simple as possible and your events as accessible as possible, so please use the resources already available.

RUNNING YOUR MASTERMIND

null

You’ve now got a mastermind in the diary, it’s being marketed and people are committing to coming. Now what do you do?

  1. The Space
Keep it simple. If you’re in a hotel or bar then you already have ambiance, if you’re in a meeting room or co-working space then put some music on and maybe get some snacks and drinks.
  2. Network
As people arrive introduce them to other people. Keep it informal and light. This is where having help is invaluable. It’s very hard to welcome people and connect people at the same time. Allow time and space for people to connect. If you can avoid everyone sitting down at this point it does make a difference to the conversation!
  1. 60 Second Introductions
Gather everyone together and then go around the group introducing your business in 60 seconds or less
  2. Help Requests
Now go around the room again and this time attendees can share what they need help with. If attendees are struggling to find something ask the question in this way: ”What’s the one area of your business that you wish you could grow more in today?” and then follow-up with “what’s stopping you growing in that area?”.
Everyone should be listening for an area they can help in.
  3. Mastermind Groups
Now dismiss the group and have them go to the person/people they think they could help the most.
If there is anyone who’s not found a group yet ask them again what they’re trying to solve (if you don’t remember) and then find them a group where someone can help. If no one can help then who can they help? If they think they can’t be helped and they can’t help anyone simply put them in a group that you trust. Being in this environment will coach them on how to open up and give/receive support.
  4. Celebration
Give the groups adequate time to help each other. Once done pick some attendees to share what they’ve learned (in 1 sentence, keep it brief!) and how it’ll help them.
  5. Connect Groups
Now promote Tribe Entrepreneurs Connect Groups. This is a vital part to the Mastermind as it is the glue that will keep your Tribe together and they will ensure people are constantly moving forward.
Have Tribe Entrepreneurs Connect Group leaders identify themselves, share when the events are, and encourage people join a Tribe Entrepreneurs Connect Group so that they can be supported better.
  6. Network
Inform attendees when then next Tribe Entrepreneurs Mastermind is and then allow people to freely network again and continue to encourage people on a one-to-one level to connect with a Tribe Entrepreneurs Connect Group.
  7. Close
At your chosen ‘end’ time close the event and tidy up. Thank your hosts and check your reservation for the next month. Keeping your hosts happy is vital to your success, so ensure make sure you keep your communication with them open and professional. If you’re using a space for free establish a win-win and keep that in mind. Are your hosts looking to sell food and drinks? If so, did they do so? Were they looking to promote their space? If so did you do so? Check they’re happy and getting what they want, it’ll save you extra work in the future!

That’s it! You just ran a Tribe Entrepreneurs Mastermind and you and your attendees are now all one step closer to living the life and having the business of your dreams! Feels good, doesn’t it!
